This week in project management we will be talking about user design and bottom up approaches to management. This video shows an example where employees are given ownership of the company though buy ins and stock. It is interesting to see how employee ownership of the company affects their attitudes. I would imagine that this significantly affects turnover (lack of), motivation, and tough management decisions that might involve cutting/adding to the company.

ProjectLibre: Free opensource project management software
If you are looking for a free alternative to MS Project that works on both the Mac and PC, check out ProjectLibre. I have only briefly tested the software but it opens and displays MS Project files without any issues and they looked very good.

I am going to be showing this site to my class tonight. It contains many examples and templates for documents commonly used in PM/PMBOK. These are a great start for someone who is new to putting these together and is unsure where to begin. Did I mention its free?
