Testing out Apple TV and realized that the remote is automatically connecting to my Mac and Macbook. It’s very annoying. So after some playing around, I finally figured out how to get it to stop.

On each computer go to Apple (apple symbol in left corner of screen)->System Preferences->Security->General (Tab)->Disable Infrared Remote Control Receiver

Then you can check/uncheck the box in order to activate or deactivate the remote on that computer.
