Can we stop with the lawsuits? Apple Must Advertise That Samsung Didn’t Copy the iPad
Come on companies, this is ridiculous:
“Today a UK judge ordered that Apple must issue a notice stating that Samsungdid not copy its design for the iPad.
Apple’s statement must be published on its UK website for six months and be distributed throughout several British magazines and newspapers, Bloomberg reports.”
How is Google Chrome doing on iOS?
It has 1.5% of the market share. The thing is, its only been available for a few weeks and its already grown that much. Will Safari stay king on iOS though? My guess is yes. Most people will not download another browser when safari comes with the iPhone/iPad. I do not even download browsers either and just use the default on my Android device although maybe I should change.
apple rumor: mini ipad and iTV?
Looks like the usual Apple rumors are abound on the net. The latest though seems pretty reliable. Is apple working on a mini tablet and iTV? Would you buy either? I personally do like the size of my Kindle Fire vs the iPad size. While I like the bigger screen on the iPad, the Kindle just feels better in my hands because its a little smaller.
Scaleform: Use flash to create high powered games
Autodesk’s Scaleform is a new software development package that allows you to create high end flash games for mobile and desktop machines. It works for both android and ios and also works well with Unity. Multimedia Design Book – A must for Instructional Designers
If you are not familiar with the Multimedia Principles then this book is a must read for you!
This is pretty much the best multimedia design book I have ever read. If there is one book I can recommend to my students that will help to improve their design, its this book: The Cambridge Handbook of Multimedia Learning by Richard Mayer. While this book is from 2004, I still reference it a lot and use it for all of my research. If you are an instructional designer and have not ever read this book, you HAVE to get it and I cannot over emphasize that enough. It is a must read for all instructional designers because not understanding the principles discussed (in the book) in your training design could be disastrous and unfortunately I have met too many ISDers that do not understand or even know of the design principles discussed in this text. Apple putting ‘eligible’ products back on the green list
Well it looks like Apple realized taking their products off of the green list was a bad idea. So they are putting them (just eligible products) back on. But is it already too late? I highly doubt they will get the same press for putting them back on as they did when they took them off. And what does ‘eligible’ products mean considering all of their products used to be on the list?
Here is what they had to say:
